Classes are divided into block lessons for Boogie Woogie and Lindy Hop as well as into different motif classes open to everyone. The classes named block lessons are offered for different levels and last 75 minutes each. You will be assigned to a level based on the information from your questionnaire. Your block class level will be sent to you with the registration confirmation. In order to provide an ideal learning environment for all participants, this level is binding during the whole camp.
The BB Dance Camp aims for maximum training results and offers high and even quality levels that increase over the course of the weekend. Late “drop-ins” should take this into consideration.
Classes follow the principle of rotating. In short intervals, participants rotate in order to practice moves and figures with different partners. Leading and following are essential in Boogie Woogie and Lindy Hop. The best exercise of leading and following is to do it with different partners. We would like to ask you to accept this as a general rule of the camp (except for aerials and show dance classes). It will still be possible to work with your own partner during classes and we have scheduled free time outside class where you can practice with your own partner and maybe one of the teachers.
Some classes can also be special classes – we like to offer classes for young dancers, show dancers and competition dancers. And we hope to see the participants’ shows from these classes (Lindy and Boogie) at the camp party on Sunday.
