Intensive Blues Workshop with Sep & Genia
Genia is joining us from Kyiv, Ukraine; Sep is joining us from Ghent, Belgium. We are thrilled to welcome them to Munich for an intensive Blues workshop weekend.

What’s in the program?
- Lecture on “Why The Blues? And it’s relevance for jazz dancers” on Friday evening.
- 8 hours of intensive workshop on the weekend.
- Blues Übungsabend with Lava Gina (from Brussels, Belgium) and DJs.
Level
Basic experience in Blues dancing is required and classes will be all-level.
In particular, if you completed one full cycle of Blues classes at Boogie-Bären, you can join the workshop. Classes will be focusing on partner Blues dance. If you feel comfortable with both roles (Lead and Follow), please mention it in the registration form.

Topic: “Why The Blues? And it’s relevance for jazz dancers”
In this lecture Sep tries to break down some of the boxes and ideas we have of blues music and dance. Through history and cultural relevance we try to look how blues is embedded in jazz and how it's an inevitable part of it’s musical and dancing heritage. The lecture is colorfully accompanied with music, pictures and clips. We create space for dialogue to try integrating the possible insights from this lecture.

Meet Sep and Genia
Sep Vermeersch is a unique and committed creative. He’s a passionate jazz, blues & swing dancer and aspiring expert in the matter. When teaching he prefers holding space as a facilitator. It’s all about the ‘jazz’ process: historical context, personal development and expressing your own style while trying to appreciate this African American art form as a guest. He also knows how to handle the Dj Booth mixing for dancing crowds or holds the mike when holding space as a sensuous MC. Sep also shapes and organizes events and festivals such as Upside Down Festival, Big City Blues or LouisLou’s Dance Madness. The combination of his educational background, playful attitude and daily practice make him a unique person to collaborate with. His curiosity for the deep ways of jazz, humanity and his successful performances in the sector make him a welcomed guest in various projects around the globe. Get to meet Sep and allow yourself to be shaken with love and groove.
Genia Tsvietkova's dancing story began when she was 6 years old. She is a lindy hop and blues dancer from Kyiv, Ukraine. Genia likes to learn, teach and explore, she really appreciates the process of teaching, working with people, sharing energy and ideas.
In the classes she mostly works on discovering body motion, body control, joy of listening to music and being moved by music.

Widerruf / Stornierung / Verlegung oder Absage der Veranstaltung
Kein Widerrufsrecht: Auch wenn die Registrierung beim Workshop oder der Veranstaltung über Fernkommunikationsmittel im Sinne des§ 312c Abs. 2 BGB stattfindet und damit gemäß § 312c Abs. 1 BGB ein Fernabsatzvertrag vorliegen kann, besteht gemäß § 312g Abs. 2 Nr. 9 BGB kein Widerrufsrecht bei der Anmeldung am Workshop oder der Veranstaltung. Dies bedeutet, dass ein zweiwöchiges Widerrufsrecht nicht besteht. Die Anmeldung ist damit unmittelbar nach der Anmeldebestätigung durch den Veranstalter gemäß Ziffer 2 bindend und verpflichtet zur Bezahlung der Vergütung.
Stornierung: Die Stornierung der Anmeldung ist grundsätzlich ausgeschlossen. Kann der Teilnehmer aus persönlichen Gründen (z.B. Krankheit) nicht am Workshop oder der Veranstaltung teilnehmen, kann er dies per E-Mail an guelistan.koc@boogie-baeren.de mitteilen. Der Veranstalter wird sich in diesem Fall bemühen, einen Ersatz zu finden. Eine Verpflichtung dazu besteht jedoch nicht. Falls es gelingt, rechtzeitig den Teilnahmeplatz anderweitig zu vergeben, wird die vom Teilnehmer entrichtete Vergütung zurückerstattet.
Verlegung oder Absage: Wenn der Workshop oder die Veranstaltung aus vom Veranstalter zu vertretenden Gründen nicht stattfindet oder zeitlich verlegt wird, wird die vom Teilnehmer entrichtete Vergütung zurückerstattet.
